This is fabulous. I've made it several times and love it. I'm sure you could easily cut the granola into strips to create your own granola bars too. Gluten Free Mommy's recipes are the best I've found!

Thank you so much for this recipee. I have a 5 year old who needs to eat GF. One of her favorite things is granola and the store bought ones aren't that great. She eats them, but I am excited to go make this for her right now! The picture looks like real granola! She'll be thrilled.

I just wanted to say that I made this granola and it is amazing. I did change one little thing and I was very happy with it. I'm not big on dates so I used dried cranberries instead. It was a nice sweet surprise.

Also, those who have problems with dairy... I mixed some of this with goats yogurt. It's a great breakfast for someone with a busy lifestyle!

This is by far the best recipe I've ever discovered. I eat it every morning! I will never go back to boxed cereal - thank you so much! =)

Hi Natalie,
I'm pretty new at this gluten free stuff but am very anxious to try this recipe. Breakfast has been my hardest time to go gluten and evap cane sugar free. Thank-you much, this sounds fabulous.

Michelle- I did roasted sunflower seeds, sweetened coconut, and I might eyeball the ground flax seed -maybe use a little less? It should be easy to tell once you have it mixed up. Great variation ideas!!!

This sounds great, Natalie! Do you think it would work to use 1/4 cup ground flax seeds, instead of whole flax seeds? I've heard that the pointy ends can be troublesome to sensitive GI tracts. NB: ground flax seeds should be kept in the freezer.

Also, are you referring to salted/unsalted/roasted/raw sunflower seeds? And do you recommend sweetened or unsweetened shredded coconut?

I bet this recipe would be good with almond butter instead of peanut butter and maybe some extra almond extract. I just received a bottle of almond extract, so I am on the lookout for recipes to use it in. :)
