I am sick again! I can’t wait for winter to be over. It seems like I always get sick this time of year. Since there is no sick leave for mommies, I decided to post my meal plan anyway. Sick or not, we have to eat.
Sally at Aprovechar is hosting the menu swap this week. Apparently, I am not the only blogger with a nasty cold that just won’t go away!

Monday: Shrimp Stir Fry
Tuesday: Simply Recipes’ Albondigas Soup
Wednesday: a light meal since it is Ash Wednesday (probably tomato sauce, veggies, and Tinkyada pasta)
Thursday: Crustless Veggie Quiche with Muffins
Friday: Fish Stew (beginning of Lent, so Fish Friday!)
The ingredient of the week is turnips and I am not sure what I will do with them. I might put them in one of my salads or soups this week.
Mommy Brag:

I am not sure what grandmotherly torture is going on here, but Big Dan made a cute party guest.

Hope you feel better!! That stinks when you are sick with the real little ones!
Wish I could send you some soup.
Bummer! Can you eat more garlic and chiles? Probably not if you are still nursing. I am sure that albondigas soup will help! I have been thinking of trying it too as I love Mexican! Let us know how it turns out! So if Ash Wednesday is tomorrow, that must make today Fat Tuesday! Enjoy it!
SM-It stinks, but luckily I am the biggest complainer of the bunch. My boys are pretty tough.
Ginger- My babes must have gotten used to the garlic and chiles in utero because I don’t spare them at all when I am nursing. Neither of my boys had digestive issues ever. How cool is that? I am so excited about that soup. Since it is Elise’s recipe it is definitely delish.

That is the cutest baby picture ever!
I love your blog. Sorry you are sick. I was sick for a month this winter. I realized that I was taking better care of everyone else than myself and now I am on a new kick to take care of myself too. Not easy to do. Its always easier for me to take care of everyone else.
Thanks for all the great recipes.
