I had a ton of braeburn apples and decided to make this without the cream cheese layer for Christmas Eve dinner. Let's hope it tastes yummy :)

Thanks for the recipe and the tips.

I too am wondering about the 2 TBSP of cocoa powdered mentioned in the recipe. Was that for dusting or for the cake itself?

These smelled wonderful! My gluten-free honey thought these were too sweet and that the almond flavor didn't mesh well with being a brownie. I didn't want to have almond pieces in the brownies and I didn't want to have to chop the nuts so I used TJ's almond meal. Next time I will reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup and try a different flour to replace the almond meal.

I would be appreciative to know if egg substitute will make a difference, can I sub. chia seed, or egg replacer.
Thank you

I am hoping to find out if you started another websit/blog & left this one. I miss you! We may be strangers, but you got me through the 'early years' in figuring out how to eat well gluten free. I did it for my kiddo, discovering that I had THREE intolerant to gluten & ME too! Still think hubby is, too (it's in his extended family). I know you had baby #3 (way-belated congratulations!) and that's when it got crazy for me--third bebe, so I wonder also if perhaps you just dropped this as priorities had to change. Anyhow, kinda curious & wishing you the best of life, Natalie. THANK YOU for doing this! Amy & crew (of 5 now)

I usually use almond flour in place of the oat flour and it comes out really nice, just wondering though...do you think you could use quinoa flour instead of the rice flour??

This is fabulous. I've made it several times and love it. I'm sure you could easily cut the granola into strips to create your own granola bars too. Gluten Free Mommy's recipes are the best I've found!
