My gluten-free honey thought these were too sweet and that the almond flavor didn't mesh well with being a brownie. I didn't want to have almond pieces in the brownies and I didn't want to have to chop the nuts so I used TJ's almond meal. Next time I will reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup and try a different flour to replace the almond meal. These smelled wonderful!
