Great list of healthy breakfast options, people usually go wrong and skip breakfast just because they are not sure what to eat with such limited time in the morning.

Bumble bars are a gluten-free and organic energy bar. Chocolate is my little girls favorite, mine too. http://www.bumblebar.com/ Great thing to carry around as a quick snack. Great fiber source for little ones.

Natalie,
Thanks for adding me to your blog roll!
I'd love to give you recommendations on where to eat when you come to L.A.
Trader Joe's in CA is pretty good about gluten free - they have gluten free pasta (just $2.00 a bag) gluten free brown rice tortillas, some gluten free cereals, including the Mc Canns oats that I eat and then the pancakes and waffles. Also I've heard some now how gluten free tiramisu and I think chocolate cake!

Michelle- Those are fabulous ideas! I love the trail mix idea. I am going to do that for Jude next week- he will love it. I still need to get one of those waffle stick makers, does everyone have one but me? ;)

Lauren- What is a bumble bar? And mama milk is the best. I love the stage where they are not eating table foods. People don't realize that mama milk and slacking can be in the same category! :)

Allie- That frittata is brilliant. Karina is the goddess, afterall! I love planning a menu because even if things don't go as planned or you make something new- you have food in the house! I am doing my "inventory" today!

Yogurt with ground flaxseeds (we keep our bag in the freezer to stay fresh), with other add-ins as desired is another quick breakfast. Making a trail mix could also be fun for a toddler since he can separate the raisins from the nuts from the banana chips, etc. A frozen banana (or banana bites) could be soothing for a teething child, especially if chocolate or nut-butter covered. I also enjoy my homemade Pamela's waffles sticks, especially with some frozen wild blueberries thrown in since they dye the entire waffle blue!

Great list, Natalie! I woke this morning and jumped over here and literally said out loud, "WOW". I couldn't believe how much you had put together. This morning we had a "different" breakfast, in that none of us were in the mood for much so I had dagoba chocolate, cashews, and cup of my "glorious good moring coffee". My daughter had a bumble bar and juice. My son had good ol' mama milk. On the days it is this simple you would think I would get more done but I find on these days is when I want to sit down even longer.

Jill-
I have heard a lot of people complain about the absence of a more adult gluten-free cereal. I tried Enjoy Life Granola cereal and absolutely hated it. I will have to try TJ's pancakes and waffles. I tend not to go now that I live in Raleigh because they really don't have many gluten-free products. Oh, I added you to my blogroll! As payment, I want advice on where to eat out the next time I am in L.A. I am visiting in December and need some tips! ;)
